The Wilckens Gragen floor coating is a low-odor, water-dilutable special concrete floor sealant for inside and outside. It is a high-quality special floor coating for mineral substrates with high abrasion resistance and good resistance to many chemical attacks. The viscous, abrasion-resistant, water- and weather-resistant coating has excellent alkali resistance. The cured coating is particularly suitable for garage floors as it is largely resistant to plasticizer migration from car tires. Conventional coatings often lead to local flaking after a short time, which is avoided with this coating. It is well resistant to weak alkalis, acids and salt solutions, motor oil, brake fluid, diesel and heating oil and is briefly resistant to petrol. It is well suited for warehouses and industrial halls, workshops, balconies, basements, old fiber cement panels, other usable areas and, because of its excellent alkali resistance, also suitable for sealing old worn-out fiber cement roof panels. Can also be used outdoors or entrance areas.
Processing instructions: Do not use at temperatures below +8°C or in high heat (sunlight). The surface must be clean, dry, free of grease, load-bearing and absorbent. No rising moisture may penetrate into the subsurface. Sand old stitches well (wear a dust mask). Remove grease and oily contamination with mineral spirits or cold cleaner. Loose and separating substances such as: B. Cement slurry and sinter layers must be removed mechanically. Concrete and screed surfaces must be allowed to set for one month. Remove unstable old coatings with paint stripper. Mechanically roughen smooth surfaces. Outdoors, moss and algae must be removed from the surface using a high-pressure cleaner and then allowed to dry thoroughly. Holes and shallow depressions can be leveled and painted over with cement, filler or mortar. In cases of doubt, the load-bearing capacity can be ensured using Wilckens 2K bonding agent. Stir well before use and apply evenly in a thin layer. When processing several containers, ensure that the batches are the same!
Coating structure:
1. Coating structure on concrete and screed, inside and outside
a) Prepare the substrate accordingly
b) Prime 1 x with 2K adhesion promoter
c) 2 - 3 coats of this product undiluted in a thin layer after approx. 24 hours each
2. Paint structure on old paint or renovation paint
a) Check the old paint for load-bearing capacity
b) Prepare the surface accordingly, stain out any defects
c) Prime once with Wilckens 2K adhesion promoter
d) 1 - 2 coats with this product undiluted
For one coat, depending on the surface, the drying time is (at 20°C , 65% relative humidity):
dusty dry: after approx. 2 hours
touch-proof: after approx. 6 hours
Can be reworked / walked on: after approx. 24 hours
dry through / fully resilient: after approx. 6 days
Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the drying time
