The concrete floor coating from Wilckens is a dispersion coating that is suitable for floor surfaces such as basement floors, cement base, screed, concrete stairs, plaster, masonry or wood with normal foot traffic. Due to its good UV and weather resistance, the floor coating can be used both indoors and outdoors. However, this coating is not suitable for garage floors or surfaces with standing water or permanent wet loads. The viscoplastic concrete coating with good alkali resistance is also easy to apply, can be diluted with water and is resistant to oils, greases and common household alkalis.
The substrate must be clean, dry, free of oil and grease, stable and absorbent. Moisture must be excluded. Remove loose coats, sand down adhering old coats well (wear a dust mask) and test for compatibility (test coat). Mechanically remove cement slurries and sintered layers as well as friable surface layers. Concrete and cement substrates must have set for at least 4 weeks. Roughen smoothed cement surfaces. Prime critical and highly absorbent substrates. Do not apply to horizontal surfaces that are exposed to constant moisture. Balcony floors should have a slight gradient. Moss and algae must be removed from outdoor areas. When using several containers, ensure that the batches are identical. Stir well with a stirring stick before use and apply evenly.Â
