The Rostorit Metal Prevention Coating by Wilckens is a decorative and hard-wearing synthetic resin varnish. The corrosion-resistant and reliable protective lacquer can be used on all rusty or bare metals. The anti-rust lacquer convinces with its fast drying time and easy processing. In addition, the Wilckens Rostorit Metal Prevention Coating offers 2 in 1 solution with good adhesion as well as high colour and gloss stability.

Processing advise: Please read the product labeling carefully before you use this product and follow the dangers and safety instructions. The substrate has to be clean, dry, free of grease and free from salt. Loosely astride parts and non-load bearing old parts are to be removed. Good adhering old paints must be sanded (wear dust mask). Remove loose rust by means of a scraper and wire brush. Very smooth surfaces must be sanded. For all grinding work it is advisable to wear a dust mask.
1. Paint build-up on metal (iron)
a) Prepare the substrate accordingly
b) Apply 2 brush coats within 8 hours with Rostorit metal protection varnish (apply very thickly, the varnish layer must be at least 100 μm)

c) Apply 2 brush coats within 8 hours with Rostorit metal protection varnish (apply very thickly, the varnish layer must be at least 100 μm)
Danger/Caution: Flammable liquid and steam. May cause drowsiness and dizziness. Harmful to aquatic organisms, with long-term effects. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. Do not smoke. Avoid inhalation of steam. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. Avoid release into the environment. Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place. If medical advice is required, have packaging or identification label ready. Keep out of the reach of children. Repeated contact may cause skin to become brittle or cracked. May cause allergic reactions - only empty containers should be sent for recycling, containers with residues should be handed in at the collection point for old paints

The drying time depends on the substrate (at 20°C, 65% rel. humidity):
Lower temperatures and higher humidity increase the drying time!
