McPaint metal protection paint protects doors, gates, banisters and fences made of metal (iron, steel, zinc). Choose between the colours dark grey, black and white, as well as the gloss levels matt and glossy. Thanks to the very high rust protection effect of this special paint, it is ideally suited for use indoors and outdoors for new and renovation coatings.

Application: The rust protection paint can be applied by rolling, brushing or spraying. Do not apply or allow the paint to dry in direct sunlight or precipitation. The final colour will only appear after drying.

New coat: Apply 1-2 coats of undiluted metal protection. Before applying the next coat, lightly sand and dust the substrate after drying.
Renovation coat: Completely remove flaking, unsound old coats and then treat as a new coat. Clean well-preserved, open-pored old coats, sand and paint over without thinning.

Substrate:

The surface to be painted must be clean, dry, free of dust and grease, firm and stable
Fill cracks, holes or other imperfections with a suitable levelling compound
Remove loose particles
Remove loose rust particles with a wire brush, sand and then clean
Thoroughly clean surfaces (especially zinc and aluminium) with metal cleaner and sand (120-240 grit sandpaper) and clean after drying
Remove non-stable, flaking coatings without leaving any residue with paint stripper

Drying time: McPaint metal protection paint is surface-dry after approx. 4-6 hours and can be painted over after approx. 16 hours.
