Herbol Herbosil is a highly water vapor permeable, silicone resin-reinforced, filled Sil facade paint and at the same time offers reliable moisture protection. The Sil facade paint is equipped with preventive film protection against algae and moss infestation. The facade paint offers excellent grain coverage for coarse plaster and also adheres very well to mineral substrates such as silicate paints, silicate emulsion paints, emulsion paints and synthetic resin plaster. Coarse spray and scratch plaster can be covered safely and reliably.
Make sure that the substrate is firm, clean, stable, dry and free from efflorescence, algae, moss, fungal infestation, flour grain layers, sinter layers and release agents. First clean dirt caused by soot and chalky components. Repair defects, holes and damage with spatula. Apply a base coat depending on the substrate (see info download). In the case of high-contrast substrates or in the case of strong color differences between the old coating and the renovation color, an intermediate coat of Herbol Herbosil, diluted approx. 10% with water, must always be applied in the new desired color. Then apply a rich, even coating of Herbol Herbosil, diluted max. 5-10% by volume with water. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
Consumption:
approx. 180 ml/m² per coat (on smooth substrates); up to approx. 450 ml/m² per coat (on rough surfaces)
