Herbol Herbosil is a highly water vapour diffusible, silicone resin-reinforced, filled Sil façade paint that also offers reliable moisture protection. The Sil façade paint is equipped with preventive film protection against algae and moss infestation. The façade paint offers excellent grain coverage on coarse renders and also adheres very well to mineral substrates such as silicate paints, dispersion silicate paints, dispersion paints and synthetic resin renders. Coarse spray and scratch plasters can be covered safely and reliably.
Ensure that the substrate is firm, clean, stable, dry and free from efflorescence, algae, moss, fungal infestation, layers of powdery grain, sintered layers and separating agents. Clean soiling caused by soot and chalking components first. Repair defects, holes and damage with filler. Depending on the substrate, apply a primer coat (see info download). In the case of high-contrast substrates or if there are significant colour differences between the old coating and the renovation colour, an intermediate coat of Herbol Herbosil, diluted approx. 10 % with water, must be applied in the new desired colour. Then apply a rich, even coat of Herbol Herbosil, diluted with water by max. 5-10 % by volume. Clean tools with water immediately after use.

approx. 180 ml/m² per coating (on smooth substrates); up to approx. 450 ml/m² per coating (on rough substrates)
