The highly diffusible silicate emulsion facade paint from Wilckens protects all mineral substrates such as lime, lime cement, cement plaster, concrete and old, intact silicate paint with a long-lasting coat , mineral and emulsion paints from weathering and acid rain. The color can be used both inside and outside. It is also highly opaque, easy to work with, highly permeable to water vapor, free of plasticizers, resistant to algae, moss and microorganisms due to its high alkalinity and silicifies inseparably with the substrate. The color is white, but can be mixed up to a maximum of 10% with suitable (silicate) full tone and tinting paints. The paint is notsuitable for substrates such as gypsum plaster, oil, lime, distemper, wood and metal surfaces. Â
Ensure that the substrate is suitable, clean, dry, level, load-bearing, absorbent and adhesive. Inspect non-intact/unsuitable coatings remove completely by painting, touch up damaged areas with spatula. Thoroughly wash off/remove glue/lime paints and chalky surfaces. Clean extremely dirty surfaces with a fat-dissolving household cleaner. Cover glass, metal, tiles, natural/artificial stone, clinker, ceramics, wood, or similar. Wipe up spills immediately. Prime the substrate as required. air, object, material. The paint should not be processed at temperatures below +8°C (applies to the environment and substrate) and in high heat or direct sunlight. Stir thoroughly before use. Prime with a maximum of 5 - 10% water or apply diluted with Wilckens Silikatgrund. Then 1 - 2 coats, undiluted, wet-on-wet crosswise in one go, roll, brush, spray airless. Recoat three times depending on the substrate and sides that are heavily exposed to the elements. After approx. 2 - 3 hours the surface is dry. It can be overworked after approx. 12 hours and rainproof after 24 hours. Clean tools immediately after use with soap and water.
Consumption:
approx. 6 - 7 m²/L with one coat, depending on the nature / absorbency of the substrate
