The glass fibre is versatile due to its properties, as well as quick and easy to process. It is excellently suited for the contract sector and areas subject to heavy wear and tear. The wallpaper is also impact-resistant, crack-bridging, dimensionally stable, as well as wet-stable and rot-resistant. The wallpaper has a structure reminiscent of interlaced fabric. Despite its pre-primed design, which saves paint and time, the wallpaper can be painted over individually. Furthermore, it is free of PVC, solvents and plasticisers.
The substrate must be dry, of the same colour, clean and load-bearing. Old wallpaper and water-swellable coatings must be removed. Cracks, joints and unevenness must be professionally filled with gypsum-based levelling compounds. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with deep primer. Use glass fabric adhesive for application. Cut the sheets to the required length, adding 5 - 10 cm to compensate for the top and bottom edges. Apply the adhesive evenly to the substrate in widths of 1 - 2 strips using a lambskin roller. Lay the cut strip into the still wet adhesive bed and press it down with a wallpaper spatula or wallpaper roller without leaving any bubbles. Glue the following strips butt to butt. Cut off any excess. After drying, the wallpaper can be painted over with emulsion, latex or acrylic paints as desired. After painting, sand off any fibres that may be sticking up.
