LECO-Compact is suitable as a wall covering for safely covering smooth wall surfaces and as an improved paint base for creative designs, thanks to its very good paint absorption. The smooth fleece is a cellulose fleece with textile fine fibres, acrylate-based binders and white pigmentation. In addition, the fleece creates smooth, even substrates with good substrate coverage, so that usually only one coat is required.
The substrate must be dry, of the same colour, clean and load-bearing. Remove old wallpaper and water-swellable coatings beforehand. Fill cracks, joints and unevenness with gypsum-based levelling compounds. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with deep primer. The smooth non-woven is wallpapered with non-woven adhesive like a normal non-woven wallpaper. After drying, paint over with dispersion, latex or acrylic paints, as desired and depending on the load.
