The special-applied, mineral filler glass veil from LECO is suitable for reinforcing paint systems in the case of plaster surface cracks in interior and exterior areas. In doing so, the glass fleece is dimensionally stable, crack-bridging, rot-resistant, as well as wet-stable.
Pre-treat the substrate to be reinforced accordingly. Use dispersion paints or dispersion adhesives to apply the glass fleece. Cut the sheets to the required length, adding 5 - 10 cm to compensate for the top and bottom edges. Apply the paint or adhesive evenly to the substrate in widths of 1 - 2 sheets. Lay the cut strip into the still wet paint/adhesive bed, overlapping by approx. 5 cm, and press on with a wallpapering spatula or wallpapering roller until bubble-free. Work with the double-seam cut method. Then apply another smooth coat of embedding material.
